Progress:
From the last blog, I was able to record down the events that he had to go through in order to get to America. Throughout the interview, we were only able to touch upon the subjects pertaining Hong Kong. As a result, I have discovered a reoccurring problem of translating from Vietnamese to English. Hopefully throughout this quarter I will be able to discover old photos and post them up on the blog along with the interviews.
Due to my schedule and inconveniences , I was not able to conduct long interviews.
Interview Session #3 :
Where did you first stop in America?
I stopped first in San Francisco then Beaumont, Texas.
How did you first expect America to be like?
I first expected America to look like San Francisco, but when I got to Beaumont, it was the total opposite.
Did you miss VN?
Very much. I missed my mom, aunt, sister, brother, and the food there. I really missed looking outside the window and seeing people bike around town.
Reflection:
I wasn't able to do a long interview due to some circumstances. After posting this blog, the website had deleted over half of my post and I was not able to retrieve all of the information it had deleted. I couldn't remember most of the interview questions, so this is all I have. The rest was deleted. It is frustrating when you are in Vegas and have really low wifi.
